I recently started a new migraine treatment with a new doctor and finally seeing my “nearly every day” migraines going down to a few times a month. Thanks for sharing; it’s all very relatable!!
Thank you for sharing the reality of life lived with this deeply complex and vastly misunderstood disease. It took me 20 years to get diagnosed. By which time I was chronically ill and some months later, disabled by the illness.
I am sorry to hear you suffer so much in this way and how much of your life and work this continues to impact.
Thanks for the book recommendation. I am obsessed about reading the journey of others who live with chronic illness.
You make such a good job of highlighting the message vs derogatory, misinformed opinion.
“she had the financial stability to stop working to focus on her health.” Ive found it particularly triggering when one friend has repeatedly said to me “at least you had the money”. Dismissing the horror of what I’ve lived through, the enormity of the decisions I’ve had to make.
There are many millions of us with the financial stability and support to stop working and still choose not to. This is not a “shall I got to Mexico this year or Jamaica kind of decision?”.
I’m in the process of having books published. But I have the fear of being ridiculed and humiliated to overcome🙃
Chronic pain - ugh. Thanks for sharing your perspective and for being vulnerable enough to share your experience.

I'm so happy you're seeing increased relief, Mary!!!
